Go for it. Arthur won't particularly like it from people he's not close with but he's likely to just deal with it sourly rather than make a scene.

Instead he went to all the best schools and actually bothered to apply himself, graduated early with a STEM degree and was instrumental in developing tech security protocols that became standard. Cashing out his part, he really was set for life. Owen didn't get into dreamshare or crime because he needed the money - he got into dreamsharing because that fascinated him from his first hearing about it, and got into crime because that's where it was being used (he almost went into the military just to get his hands on it). His family has no idea about his Arthur Freeman life, and he's careful to not link it back to his birth name.
